Aces Receive Five From Blues, Minard From Albany, Agree To Terms With Heisten

ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Aces announced that defensemen Patrick Wellar and Zack Fitzgerald, forwards Cam Keith and Justin Maiser and goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu have been assigned to the team by the St. Louis Blues and that center Chris Minard has been assigned to the team by the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. The Aces also announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Barrett Heisten.

The Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Blues of the National Hockey League and the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the first round (20th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Heisten has spent the last four seasons in the American Hockey League and scored 19 points (7g-12a) in 64 games for Bridgeport in 2004-05.
