Aces Receive King, Lynch From Peoria

ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Aces announced that defenseman Doug Lynch and left wing D.J. King have been assigned from the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

The Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Rivermen of the AHL and the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (190th overall) by St. Louis in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and in his second professional season, the 21-year-old King has five points (3g-2a) and 94 penalty minutes in 33 games with Peoria.

Selected in the second round (43rd overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and in his third professional season, the 22-year-old Lynch has 57 penalty minutes and two assists in 29 games with Peoria.
