ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces were honored by the United States Senate with a resolution honoring the team’s Kelly Cup championship, tying an ECHL record, and the third in Aces history.
The resolution, signed by Secretary of the Senate Nancy Erickson, is dated June 12, 2014 and marked as "congratulating the Alaska Aces Hockey Team on Winning the 2014 Kelly Cup" after the Aces became champions of the ECHL and defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones, 4-2 in the Kelly Cup Finals.
