AHL Wolves Re-Sign Gladiators Fretter

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League have re-signed CCM Tacks ECHL Rookie of the Year Colton Fretter.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolves of the AHL and the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.

Despite missing 21 games due to injury, the 25 year old led ECHL rookies and tied for fifth among all players with a team record 36 goals while leading league rookies with 68 points in 51 games. ECHL coaches selected him as a member of the ECHL All-Rookie Team and as a participant in the ECHL All-Star Game where he scored the game-winning goal for the American Conference in a 6-3 victory.
