Alaska Acquires Gaucher From Las Vegas

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces announced that they have acquired former ECHL All-Star defenseman Ryan Gaucher from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for right wing Jordan Cameron and future considerations. Prior to the trade on Tuesday, Alaska had used the same 21-man roster since October 25 when Scott Gomez joined the Aces.

Among ECHL defenseman, Gaucher ranks third with 13 goals and is seventh and seventh with 39 points in 54 games with Las Vegas.

In 2002-03, Gaucher was selected to the ECHL All-Star Game and was named First Team All-ECHL after leading ECHL defensemen with 19 goals and finishing second among defensemen with 46 assists and 65 points in 54 regular season games with Cincinnati. In the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he scored nine points (2g-7a) in 11 games and helped Cincinnati advance to the Northern Conference Finals where it lost in seven games to eventual champion Atlantic City.
