Alaska Signs Leavitt, Novak, Campbell

ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Aces announced that they have signed rookie center Alex Leavitt, forward Vladimir Novak and center Ryan Campbell.

The Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League and the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.In 2004-05 in the Western Hockey League, the 21-year-old Leavitt had 14 points (3g-11a) in 15 games with Swift Current and 48 points (13g-35a) in 49 regular season games and 11 points (6g-5a) in 11 playoff games with Everett.

In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 26-year-old Campbell had 21 points (11g-10a) in 56 regular season games and one goal in five Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Columbia Inferno.

The 25-year-old Novak returns to the Aces where he scored 14 points (4g-10a) in 52 regular season games and three points (2g-1a) in 15 Kelly Cup Playoff games as a rookie in 2004-05.
