Pierro-Zabotel led the Gwinnett Gladiators in scoring last season with 60 points (23g-37a) in 54 games. He also skated in five games with the Florida Everblades, and three in the American Hockey League with Norfolk. The 26-year-old enjoyed his best season with the Gladiators in 2012-13 tallying 75 points (22g-53a) in 66 games and earning a spot on the All-ECHL First Team. Overall he has recorded 297 points (90g-207a) in 348 career ECHL games with Gwinnett, Florida, Bakersfield and Wheeling. He has also appeared in 17 career AHL games with Norfolk, Charlotte and Wilkes-Barre Scranton.
The native of Ashcroft, British Columbua played in the Western Hockey League for two seasons with the Vancouver Giants, where he scored 163 points (55g-108a) in 121 career games. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (80th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
