Anaheim Signs Former ECHL Player Hoffman

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed right wing Mike Hoffman, who played in the ECHL with Peoria as a rookie in 2003-04, to a two-year entry-level contract.

Augusta is the ECHL affiliate of the Ducks of the NHL and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

In his first professional season in 2003-04, the 6-foot-5 and 248-pound Hoffman, who has reported directly to Portland, had nine points (2g-7a) and 16 penalty minutes in 25 regular season games and one assist and six penalty minutes in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games with Peoria while also playing in the AHL where he had 20 penalty minutes in 15 games with Worcester.
