Augusta’s Jacobson Called Up To Lowell,
Stepp Reassigned By Atlanta To Gwinnett

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Lynx announced that defenseman Lee Jacobson has been called up to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The Lynx also announced that the Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned center Joel Stepp to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. The Thrashers acquired Stepp from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks on Wednesday in exchange for goaltender Jani Hurme.

In his third professional season, the 24-year-old Jacobson has four points (1g-3a) and 115 penalty minutes in 43 games for Augusta and nine penalty minutes in two games with Charlotte.
