Augusta’s Kuiper Recalled To Portland
Lynx Acquire Watson From Pensacola

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta Lynx announced that the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League have recalled defenseman Nick Kuiper and that the Providence Bruins have called up All-Star forward and team captain Ryan Lang.

The Lynx also announced that they have acquired center Greg Watson from the Pensacola Ice Pilots to complete the Dec. 15, 2006 trade that sent defenseman Derrick Byfuglien to Pensacola.

Augusta is the ECHL affiliate of Portland of the AHL and the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League.

Watson, who will turn 25 on Friday, is expected to be in the lineup when the Lynx host Florida on Friday. Selected in the second round (34th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot and 205-pound Watson has been playing defense for the Ice Pilots and has 31 points (9g-22a) and 77 penalty minutes in 43 games.
