Awe Returns To Gladiators From Providence

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that rookie defenseman Jon Awe has been reassigned from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and that he is expected to be in the lineup for Gwinnett on Friday at Florida.

In his first professional season, the 6-foot-4 and 220-pound Awe has 11 points (3g-8a) and 38 penalty minutes in 28 games with Gwinnett. He has played one game with Providence and has also played in the AHL with Portland where he has one assist and eight penalty minutes in 17 games.
