Ayers Returned From Syracuse To Bombers

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that goaltender Mike Ayers has been reassigned from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Dayton is the ECHL affiliate of the Crunch of the AHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.

He was named CCM Vector AHL Player of the Week on Feb. 13, one of eight former ECHL players to capture the AHL honor in 2005-06.

Selected in the sixth round (177th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to Syracuse, the 26-year-old is 12-6-1 with three shutouts, a goals against of 2.59 and a save percentage of .920 in 21 games with Syracuse and 7-12-1 with a goals against of 3.57 and a save percentage of .889 in 21 games with the Bombers.
