Bakersfield Trades Rookie Stewart To Utah

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that they have traded rookie left wing Danny Stewart to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations.

The 5-foot-11 and 188-pound Stewart has 15 penalty minutes in two games for Bakersfield.

Selected in the fourth round (123rd overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft, the 21-year-old Stewart played the last five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 241 points (105g-136a) and 439 penalty minutes in 325 regular season games and 18 points (9g-9a) and 14 penalty minutes in 24 playoff games with Rimouski and Prince Edward Island.
