READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that defenseman Tyler Hanchuck has been reassigned from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and that forward Chris Bala has been returned by the Hershey Bears of the AHL.
Both players are expected to be available on Friday when Reading hosts Toledo on Friday.
Recalled to Manchester on Tuesday, Hanchuck had two shots in Manchester’s 5-4 shootout loss against Portland on Wednesday. Hanchuck has 21 penalty minutes in 11 games for Reading.
Bala was loaned to Milwaukee on October 11 and had one goal in five games before being returned to Reading on November 4. Before appearing in a game for the Royals, Bala was loaned to Hershey where he had two assists in eight games as the Bears went 6-0-2.
