Bissonnette Reassigned From Wheeling To Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League have reassigned defenseman Paul Bissonnette to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of Pittsburgh of the NHL and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

Selected in the fourth round (121st overall) by Pittsburgh in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 21-year-old has six points (1g-5a) and 20 penalty minutes in 13 games for Wheeling.

In his rookie season in 2005-06, the 6-foot-3 and 220-pound Bissonnette had 10 points (3g-7a) and four penalty minutes in 14 games with Wheeling and six points (1g-5a) and 60 penalty minutes in 55 regular season games and one assist and four penalty minutes in 11 playoff games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
