Blanshan, Thunder Agree To Terms

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Cody Blanshan.

The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The 6-foot-1 and 220-pounds Blanshan had 20 points (2g-18a) and 118 peanlty minutes in 63 regular season games and six penalty minutes in three playoff games for the Mississippi River Kings in the Central Hockey League in 2007-08.

Drafted in the eighth round (238th overall) by the New York Islanders in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft Blanshan has 47 points (16g-31a) and 243 penalty minutes in 127 regular season games and one goal and 27 penalty minutes in four Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Greenville Grrrowl, Wheeling Nailers and Idaho Steelheads from 2005-07.
