Blue Jackets Assign Landry To Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie defenseman Jon Landry from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League to Johnstown.

The Chiefs are the ECHL affiliate of the Blue Jackets and the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and the Crunch and the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.

The 24 year old signed as a free agent with Columbus on Mar. 19, 2007 and had 12 points (2g-10a) in 18 games for Elmira in 2007-08 before having his season end due to a leg injury suffered in a Nov. 30 bus accident.
