Bombers Acquire Collins From Toledo

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that they have acquired goaltender Chad Collins from the Toledo Storm in exchange for financial considerations as goaltender Mike Ayers remains with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

The Bombers are the ECHL affiliate of the Crunch of the AHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Collins is 2-1-1 with a goals-against average of 2.92 and a save percentage of .884 in four games with Toledo.

In his first professional season in 2004-05, Collins was the Goaltender of the Year in the Southern Professional Hockey League after going 25-13 with four shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .922 with Fayetteville and was 2-1-0 with a goals-against average of 2.78 and a save percentage of .930 in four games with Augusta.
