Bombers’ Ayers Called Up To Grand Rapids

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that goaltender Mike Ayers has been called up to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (177th overall) by Chicago in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and in his first professional season, the 25-year-old Ayers was 15-28-5 with a goals against of 2.90 in 51 games for Dayton. He also played two games in the AHL with Cincinnati, going 1-0-1 with a goals against of 1.45 and a save percentage of .952.
