Bombers’ Nowak Called Up To Syracuse

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that center Brett Nowak has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

The Bombers are the ECHL affiliate of the Crunch of the AHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.

Nowak had an assist in Syracuse’s 6-3 win against Rochester on Saturday after scoring three points (1g-2a) in Dayton’s season-opening loss at Toledo on Friday.

Selected in the fourth round (103rd overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old had 26 points (10g-16a) in 31 games with Atlantic City and 19 points (8g-11a) in 24 games with Dayton in 2004-05 while also playing 13 games in the AHL with Bridgeport.
