Bootland Re-Signs With Red Wings

DETROIT, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings announced that they have re-signed former Toledo right wing Darryl Bootland. The Toledo Storm is the ECHL affiliate of the Red Wings and Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.

In 2004-05 with Grand Rapids in the AHL, Bootland had 336 penalty minutes and 34 points (14g-20a) in 78 regular season games.

Selected in the eighth round (252nd overall) by Colorado in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Bootland had 74 penalty minutes and two points (1g-1a) in 22 games with the Red Wings in 2003-04 and 14 points (12g-2a) and 175 penalty minutes in 54 regular season games and one assist in four playoff games with Grand Rapids.
