Boutin, Dicaire Called Up To Springfield

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that goaltender Jonathan Boutin and defenseman Gerard Dicaire have been assigned by the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The Chiefs are the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the second round (48th overall) by Buffalo in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and in the fifth round (162nd overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Dicaire has played nine games with Springfield.

Selected in the third round (96th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and in his first professional season, the 20-year-old Boutin is 0-1-1 with a goals-against average of 1.93 and a save percentage of .945 in two games with Springfield and 0-2-1 with a goals-against average of 3.29 and a save percentage of .912 in three games with Johnstown.
