Boutin, Thunder agree to terms
STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Shawn Boutin.
The 5-foot-10 and 195 pound blueliner tallied 13 assists in 69 regular season games and led the club’s defensemen in playoff scoring with eight points (2g-6a) in 23 games, adding a +4 rating.
Boutin broke into the pro ranks with the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League in 2011-12, collecting six points (2g-4a) in 54 games. He was an alternate captain for three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Val-d’Or, skating in 286 career games with 78 points and 324 penalty minutes.
