Bridgeport Names Bingham
As Assistant Coach

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League announced that they have hired Pat Bingham as an assistant coach. The 36-year-old Bingham joins the Sound Tigers after two seasons as head coach of the Wheeling Nailers.

Bingham joins the staff of former Charlotte assistant coach Dave Baseggio, who was promoted to head coach of Bridgeport in June.

Bingham, who was an assistant coach in Wheeling in 2001-02, won the John Brophy Award presented annually to the ECHL Coach of the Year after leading the Nailers to their best season in history with a 51-17-4 record.
