Bulls add veteran defenseman Peckham
SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Bulls, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced that defenseman Theo Peckham has signed with the club. Peckham joins the Bulls after spending a majority of the past four seasons playing for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.
Peckham, 24, was a third round draft pick (75th overall) by Edmonton in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in 156 NHL games, all with the Oilers, accumulating 17 points (3g-14a) and 382 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 2-inch, 235-pound native of Richmond Hill, Ontario skated in a career-high 71 games with the Oilers in 2011-12.
Peckham also skated in 143 games with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, totaling 38 points (12g-26a) and 387 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Peckham played in 181 games with Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League, recording 60 points (17g-43a) and 618 penalty minutes. In 2005-06, he set the Owen Sound single-season record with 236 penalty minutes.
