Bulls, Carter agree to terms

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Bulls, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today the signing of left wing Matt Carter.

The 25-year-old Carter joins the pro ranks after spending the previous four seasons with the University of Prince Edward Island of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). Carter tallied 144 points (69g-75a) in 111 career games with the Panthers, leading the team in scoring in each of the last two seasons.

Prior to playing with PEI, Carter led Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League with 30 goals and 54 points in 61 games in 2007-08. He made his pro debut at the end of the 2007-08 season, appearing in three games with the ECHL’s Phoenix RoadRunners.

Carter registered five points (4g-1a) in 11 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones after completing his collegiate career last season.
