Carolina Reassigns Bellissimo To Florida
Adams Recalled From Everblades To Grand Rapids

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that that the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League have reassigned rookie center Vince Bellissimo (pictured) from Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League to the Everblades and that the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League have recalled rookie defenseman John Adams.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the NHL and the Lock Monsters of the AHL.

Selected in the fifth round (158th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Hurricanes, the 23-year-old Bellissimo has two points (1g-1a) in two games with the Everblades and 14 points (8g-6a) and 20 penalty minutes in 45 games with Lowell.

Selected in the third round (82nd overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to Grand Rapids, the 23-year-old Adams has 12 points (1g-11a) and 45 penalty minutes in 29 games with the Everblades. He has played two games with Grand Rapids and five games with Springfield of the AHL.
