Capitals Reassign Pokulok To Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced that the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League have reassigned defenseman Sasha Pokulok from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League to South Carolina.

The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Capitals of the NHL and the Bears of the AHL.

Selected in the first round (14th overall) by Washington in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Capitals, the 21 year old has seven points (1g-6a) and 43 penalty minutes in 44 games with Hershey.
