HAMILTON, Ontario - The fact former Charlotte Checkers forward Tom Pyatt is tied for the Hamilton Bulldogs' scoring lead may be a surprise to many who follow the team.
It probably shouldn't be.
The bottom line is the 6-foot, 185-pound left-winger is a really solid player who may have the best work ethic on the team.
"I kind of expected this and this is the start I wanted," said Pyatt, who has six goals and three assists in 11 games.
"I did the same thing in junior. I improved every year and it's going the same way since I turned pro. This year has been even better and I just hope I can keep it up."
