Besides Chiefs, what’s a good name for a minor league hockey team?.
Chiefs is classic, an iconic slice of Americana straight out of Hollywood, conveyed to the hearts of moviegoers in the film “Slap Shot,” starring Paul Newman.
In the movie, the team played in an old barn of a hockey facility in Johnstown, Pa., where the minor league team name has been emblazoned on the sweater of the franchise that will be moving to Greenville for the 2010-11 season in the ECHL.
