PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL player Rob Kenny, who died on Wednesday in Weston, Florida as the result of an automobile accident.
Kenny played one season in the ECHL, appearing in 58 games with the Miami Matadors in 1998-99, scoring 42 points (22g-20a) and adding 62 penalty minutes.
The 41 year old is survived by his wife, Janelle, and their three children: Ryan, Sean and Ella.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Assumption Catholic Church, 2001 S. Ocean Blvd., Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Rob Kenny Family Relief Fund, Pines Ice Arena, 12425 Taft Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33028.
