ANCHORAGE - An affinity for fine women's clothing lives and breathes somewhere deep inside Alex Leavitt.
We're not talking anything perverse or embarrassing. It's just that the Alaska Aces rookie winger's life nearly began in a showroom full of dresses.
Slightly more than 22 years ago, Leavitt's mother Jennifer went into labor in the family's then-new store in Edmonton, Alberta.
"Her water broke," said John Leavitt, Alex's father. "Alex was almost born on the floor of the store, not that he knows how to hang anything properly because of it."
