Falcons Sign Rookie O'Brien

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced that they have signed rookie forward Danny O’Brien.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old O’Brien had six points (2g-4a) in nine games with the South Carolina Stingrays in 2005-06, signing with the ECHL team after completing his college career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he was team captain for three years and scored 98 points (45g-53a) in 145 career games, including a team-leading 14 goals and 27 points in 2005-06.
