Chiefs Acquire Hakewill, Thompson From Idaho

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that they have acquired rookie defenseman Jim Hakewill and rookie center Brad Thompson from the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for wing Paul Caponigri and defenseman Tyler Kindle.
Selected in the fifth round (145th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Hakewill has seven points (1g-6a) and 44 penalty minutes in 31 games for Idaho while the 24-year-old Thompson has 18 points (8g-10a) and 16 penalty minutes in 34 games for the Steelheads.
