ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces arrived at Sullivan Arena harboring hope Friday night. They left the joint stomaching hockey heartache.
Ever-resilient, the South Carolina Stingrays beat the Aces 4-2 in decisive Game 7 to win the ECHL's Kelly Cup.
South Carolina became just the second team in the league's 21-season history to win three championships, matching the Hampton Roads Admirals.
