ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League announced that they have signed former Las Vegas Wranglers forward Adam Cracknell.
The Alaska Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Blues of the NHL and the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. The head coach of the Rivermen is Davis Payne, who was the 2007 ECHL Coach of the Year.
Selected in the ninth round (279th overall) by Calgary in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the 24 year old had 22 points (8g-14a) in 31 regular season games and six points (3g-3a) in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Wranglers as a rookie in 2006-07.
He returned to Las Vegas in 2007-08 and had career regular season highs with 29 goals, 30 assists and 59 points in 61 games. He ranked second in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 22 points in 21 games with a team-leading nine goals and 13 assists as the Wranglers advanced to the Kelly Cup Finals.
He played in the AHL in 2008-09 and had 26 points (10g-16a) in 79 games for Quad City.
