Checkers Acquire McKee,
Agree To Terms With Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that they have acquired goaltender Dave McKee from the Phoenix RoadRunners in exchange for forward Colin Sinclair.

The Checkers also announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Ethan Graham.

Charlotte is the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old McKee was 6-10-4 with a goals-against average of 3.77 and a save percentage of .898 in 23 games for Phoenix, which acquired him from Augusta on Nov. 11, 2007 in exchange for defenseman Nick Toneys and future considerations, in 2007-08. He was 0-1-0 with a goals-against average of 8.52 and a save percentage of .806 in one game with the Lynx while also playing in the AHL where he was 0-2-0 with a goals-against average of 5.11 and a save percentage of .841 in two games with Iowa.

The 25-year-old Graham had one goal and two penalty minutes in 10 regular season games and also played in four Kelly Cup Playoff games for Idaho as a rookie in 2007-08. He also played in the AHL where he had five points (1g-4a) and 36 penalty minutes in 47 games with Iowa.
