Checkers Agree To Terms With
Defensemen Brouillette, Nightingale

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that they have agreed to terms with defensemen Jared Nightingale (pictured) and Julien Brouillette.

The Checkers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Nightingale had 14 points (3g-11a) and 196 penalty minutes in 65 regular season games and eight penalty minutes in three Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Checkers while also playing in the American Hockey League with Hartford and Chicago where he had six penalty minutes in seven games in 2007-08.

The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Brouillette had 17 points (6g-11a) and 55 penalty minutes in 67 regular season games and four assists and six penalty minutes in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games for Charlotte in his rookie season in 2007-08.
