Checkers’ Glenn Called Up To Providence

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that defenseman Ryan Glenn has been called up to the American Hockey League by the Providence Bruins.

Selected in the fifth round (145th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 26-year-old has one assist and two penalty minutes in five games with Charlotte and six points (3g-3a) and 27 penalty minutes in 15 games with Providence and three assists and six penalty minutes in 18 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The Checkers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the NHL and the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.
