Cherniwchan scored four goals, added two assists and was a +4 last week as the Stingrays won a pair of games at division-rival Orlando.
The 24-year-old scored two goals, including the game-winner and a shorthanded goal, and had an assist in a 3-0 win over the Solar Bears on Friday before scoring two more goals, including his second straight game-winning tally, and adding another assist, in a 5-1 victory on Saturday.
A native of Hinton, Alberta, Cherniwchan is tied for third on the Stingrays with 16 points (8g-8a) in 17 games this season, is tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals and leads the team with a +12 rating.
Cherniwchan has 44 points (22g-22a) in 72 career ECHL games with South Carolina. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at Northern Michigan University where he had 84 points (35g-49a) in 146 career games.

Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 29,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
