Chiefs Present Galen Head Jr.
Scholarship On Friday

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that they will present the annual Galen Head Jr. Memorial Scholarship prior to Friday’s game against the Trenton Titans.

The scholarship is named in honor of Galen Head Jr., a standout hockey player at Bishop McCort High School, the first trainer of the Chiefs and son of Johnstown Jets legend Galen Hall. Head was tragically killed in a car accident during the summer of 1996 while working for Fort Wayne of the International Hockey League.

The winners for 2005 are Ron Stenger of Bishop McCort High School and Brad Strack of Westmont Hilltop High School.
