Chiefs Receive Spina From Springfield
Boutin, Smolenak, Waugh Called Up To AHL

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that left wing David Spina (pictured) has been assigned from Springfield of the American Hockey League and that forward Radek Smolenak, defenseman Geoff Waugh and goaltender Jonathan Boutin have been called up to the AHL by the Falcons.

The Chiefs are the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons of the AHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Spina has 12 penalty minutes in seven games with Springfield which signed him during the offseason. In his first full professional season in 2005-06, he had seven goals in 11 games with South Carolina of the ECHL and 24 points (11g-13a) in 54 games with Springfield.
