Chiefs’ Stewart Hired By Lowell

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that athletic trainer Chris Stewart has been named the athletic trainer for Lowell of the American Hockey League. Stewart will begin his position with Lowell on Monday, working his final games with Johnstown at Reading on Friday and at Atlantic City on Saturday.

Stewart, who joined the Chiefs in 1996-97, was a full-time employee of Western Pennsylvania Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation where he also worked with several of the athletic teams at Bishop McCort High School.

Stewart will join former Johnstown head coach Scott Allen, who is an assistant coach with Lowell which has a dual affiliation with Carolina and Calgary of the National Hockey League.

Stewart joins former Chiefs Head Coach Scott Allen, who is Lowell’s Assistant Coach. The Lockmonsters have a dual affiliation with the Carolina Hurricanes and the Calgary Flames. Stewart will work his final two games with the Chiefs this weekend as they play on the road tonight in Reading and Saturday night in Atlantic City. His first day with Lowell will be Monday.
