Colorado’s Chorneyko fined, suspended

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Saturday announced that Colorado’s Adam Chorneyko has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline, as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #22, Stockton at Colorado, on Oct. 21.

Chorneyko is fined and suspended as a result of an illegal check to the head of an opposing player.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Chorneyko will miss Colorado’s games against Stockton (Oct. 22) and at Las Vegas (Oct. 27).
