Columbia Acquires Hubbauer

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Columbia Inferno announced that they have traded center D’Arcy McConvey to the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for center Matt Hubbauer and future considerations.

The Inferno is the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

In 2004-05 with St. John’s of the American Hockey League, the 22-year-old Hubbauer had eight points (2g-6a) in 51 regular season games and also played in one playoff game for the Maple Leafs. The 5-foot-10 and 195-pound Hubbauer began his professional career in 2003-03 with Atlantic City scoring four points (3g-1a) in 21 games.
