Condors Acquire Chouinard From Phoenix

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that they have acquired goaltender Mathieu Chouinard from the Phoenix RoadRunners in exchange for forward Justin Quenneville and goaltender Ryan Cyr.

Selected in the first round (15th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and in the second round (45th overall) by Ottawa in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old is 4-6-0 with a goals-against average of 3.43 and a save percentage of .906 in 13 games with Phoenix.

The 6-foot and 212-pound Chouinard made his NHL debut on February 29, 2003 with the Los Angeles Kings in relief of Cristobal Huet in a 6-3 loss to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
