Condors’ Borders Scheduled To Make Return Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that left wing Scott Borders would play his first game of the season on Friday at Phoenix.

Borders suffered a broken femur in Game 7 of the Pacific Division Semifinals in the 2007 Kelly Cup Playoffs, requiring multiple surgeries and months of rehabilitation.

The 25-year-old has played the last three seasons in the ECHL and has 63 points (24g-39a) and 297 penalty minutes in 144 regular season games and eight points (6g-2a) and 34 penalty minutes in 13 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with Bakersfield, Fresno, San Diego and Victoria.
