Condors Collect Almost 1,400 Coats For Charity

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that almost 1,400 coats were collected on Tuesday during the Ninth Annual Project Warm Families coat collection sponsored by KGET-TV 17, KHTY Mighty 970 and Barber Honda.

Fans who donated a new or slightly-worn coat received a $1 terrace admission and all coats collected will be donated to needy families.

It is the longest-running charity event in team history, dating back to when the team was called the Bakersfield Fog and played in the Convention Center, and in nine years more than 16,000 coats have been collected.
