Condors’ Help Raise Money
For Hurricane Victims

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors and the surrounding community assisted the Kern Chapter of the American Red Cross with a fundraiser to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Members of the Condors’ staff assisted local radio and television stations with the fourteen-hour long drive, raising more than $120,000 for relief efforts.

“Having lived in that area just prior to coming Bakersfield, it’s even more surreal,” said Condors president Matthew Riley. “We were glad to assist with the American Red Cross fundraiser held at KGET, and hope to be able to help in additional ways, too.”
