Condors’ Nagel Joins
Norwegian National Team

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that center Lars-Peder Nagel has joined the National Team of his native Norway for an Olympic Qualifying tournament in Kloten, Switzerland.

It will be the sixth time that Nagel, who leads Bakersfield with 16 goals and 39 points, has played for Norway.

Ranked 21st in the world by the International Ice Hockey Federation, Norway will play the first game of the round-robin tournament on Thursday against Denmark, which is ranked 14th in the world. The other teams in the four-team tournament are 15th-ranked Japan and ninth-ranked Switzerland. One of the four teams will qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
